The SADeaf held a contest to revamp their old logo (left). After much research on the Deaf culture and the organisation, I submitted the above two designs.

Identitee

T-shirt design for youths with the theme “IDENTITEE- You are what you wear”.

This is actually a tee shirt design competition entry. I reckon they will not be looking for this kind of style for a winning entry. Most probably they will be looking for street style grunge tees in line with their brand image. I entered anyway just for fun. Hope I provided the judges some refreshing simple fun when judging. :)

Here’s my concept:

How Many Faces?

Monday, May 14th, 2007

How many faces do you look at everyday?
how many faces do you see everyday?

Everyone tends to put on many different faces to cover the real face benath. This conceptual artwork depicts how human fail to see the many faces they look at everyday. The concept of look being simply absorbing the image of the physical view in front of your eyes. The concept of see being able to understand, feel and emote with what is presented to your eyes.

More doodlings from my old lecture notes back in “those schooling days”. When you are bored in lecture, you draw anything, everything you see.

Beautiful Hands

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

My friend once asked if I ever thought the human hand is ugly. He described it as an unthinkable form with 5 things sticking out of a lobe.

At the same time he thought the human hand is such a wonderful and magnificent evolution.

This is why the human hand is so hard to draw. You have to capture the essence of this wonderful gift given to us.
