Redeafination Recruitment Poster

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

Redeafination is the hip hop dance club under the arm of Xtomic, the performing arts group under Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf).

This is the publicity poster design for the new club. Loud and straight forward to capture attention of the young and young at heart in the Deaf community.

This is non-commissioned, part of my volunteer work at Singapore Association for the Deaf. It was rather urgent. I made a quick composition of vector elements together with bold text for the main messages to be conveyed.

DST Lines Corporate Identity

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

The letters DST are the initials of the founding company, Dawn Shipping & Transport Co. Pte Ltd which was established in Singapore in 1974. The company was formed to reach out to a global market while the founding company focuses on the local region.

There was a very clear direction. Color scheme was fixed at using those from the founding company. However to have a more modern feel, the original colors were slightly darkened.

Here are 3 of the numerous drafts concepts.

T-shirt design for youths with the theme “IDENTITEE- You are what you wear”.

This is actually a tee shirt design competition entry. I reckon they will not be looking for this kind of style for a winning entry. Most probably they will be looking for street style grunge tees in line with their brand image. I entered anyway just for fun. Hope I provided the judges some refreshing simple fun when judging. :)

Here’s my concept:

How Many Faces?

Monday, May 14th, 2007

How many faces do you look at everyday?
how many faces do you see everyday?

Everyone tends to put on many different faces to cover the real face benath. This conceptual artwork depicts how human fail to see the many faces they look at everyday. The concept of look being simply absorbing the image of the physical view in front of your eyes. The concept of see being able to understand, feel and emote with what is presented to your eyes.
